How to Use Biobizz Light-Mix
Biobizz Light-Mix is a versatile, ready-to-use substrate suitable for all stages of plant development, but it truly excels in the initial phases.
- Preparation: Gently loosen the substrate and fill your pots, avoiding compaction. Lightly tap the pot to settle the soil evenly.
- Planting: Place your seedlings or cuttings directly into the prepared Light-Mix.
- Priming (Optional but Recommended): Water the soil to thoroughly moisten it and allow it to stand for up to 36 hours before planting. This activates the beneficial micro-activity in the substrate.
- Feeding Schedule: Because of the low nutrient charge, you should generally begin feeding immediately or after the first week of growth with a mild solution of liquid fertiliser, such as Biobizz Root-Juice followed by Biobizz Bio-Grow and Biobizz Bio-Bloom according to Biobizz's recommended schedule for Light-Mix (grow schedule available from the Downloads tab above).
- Watering: Allow the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings to encourage gas exchange and healthy root respiration.
