How to Use House & Garden Coco A&B
When preparing your nutrient solution, always add the two parts separately to ensure optimal effectiveness.
- Fill your nutrient container two-thirds with water.
- Add House & Garden Coco A to the water and mix thoroughly.
- Next, add House & Garden Coco B and mix well again.
Important: Never mix parts A and B directly together in concentrated form, as this can cause an undesirable chemical reaction that leads to nutrient solidification and potential irrigation blockages. - Adjust your nutrient solution's pH to the optimal range for coco coir (typically 5.5 - 6.5, with 5.8 often being ideal). It is recommended to use a calibrated pH monitor for accuracy.
- Add any desired root growth stimulators or flowering stimulators at this stage, then top up the container to the desired final volume with water.
Dosage: The general recommended dosage is 1 – 2.5ml per litre of water.
Start the growth cycle with an Electrical Conductivity (EC) of approximately 1.2. Gradually increase the EC according to your plant's needs and the House & Garden feed charts (available from the Downloads tab above), aiming for an EC of around 2.0 by the end of the bloom phase. Monitoring run-off EC is also recommended to prevent over or under-feeding.
