How to Use Canna Calmag Agent
- Shake the Canna Calmag Agent bottle well before use.
- Fill your nutrient reservoir with water at room temperature (ideally 20-22°C or 68-72°F).
- Measure the Electrical Conductivity (EC) of your base water. If the EC is below 0.4 mS/cm (milliSiemens per centimetre), supplementation with Canna Calmag Agent is recommended.
- Dosage: Add Canna Calmag Agent to the nutrient solution at a rate of 0.1 - 0.5 ml per litre of water until the desired EC is reached. The exact amount needed depends on the starting EC of your water. For reverse osmosis water, the typical dosage is around 0.2 - 0.4 ml per litre to achieve a base EC of 0.4 mS/cm.
- After achieving the desired EC with Canna Calmag Agent, add your base nutrients and other additives (such as Canna Coco A&B, Canna Boost Accelerator, Rhizotonic, Cannazym, and PK 13/14), mixing thoroughly after each addition.
- Adjust the pH of your nutrient solution as needed after all nutrients and additives have been added. Be cautious when using pH Up products, as Canna Calmag Agent can initially cause the pH to drop before gradually rising over 24-48 hours.
- Allow 24-48 hours for the nutrient solution to stabilise before making significant pH adjustments.
- For correcting existing deficiencies, use 0.1-0.5 ml per litre when watering or as a foliar spray.

Reverse osmosis (RO) water has had most minerals removed, resulting in very low EC and no buffering capacity. Without Calmag, the pH of the nutrient solution can fluctuate wildly, and plants may struggle to absorb the necessary elements.Can I use Canna Calmag Agent with hard tap water?
If your tap water has a high EC (above 0.7 mS/cm), it already contains significant amounts of dissolved minerals, including calcium and magnesium. In this case, adding more Calmag Agent is generally not necessary and could even lead to nutrient imbalances or lockouts. It's best to test your water's EC first. If your water is very hard, some growers use an RO filter to reduce the mineral content and then use Canna Calmag Agent to bring it to the optimal level (around 0.2 - 0.4 ml/litre).Is Canna Calmag Agent only for coco coir?
